Under the direction of the District Education Officer, Jabalpur, and coordinated by Joy Senior Secondary School, Vijay Nagar, a District Level School Fencing Competition was held on August 11th and 12th for boys and girls in the Under 14, 17, and 19 age categories. Approximately 60 students from nine schools participated in the event.
The competition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Principal Mrs. Rashmi Mishra, Vice Principal Mrs. Neenu Maben, the President of the Jabalpur Fencing Association Mr. Amit Jain, District Sports Officer Mrs. Madhumita Hazra, and Observer Mrs. Priyanka Khare.
The competition began with the Under-14 girls’ category, where Simar Budhrani secured first place, Ajita Shivhare second, and Gisele Sheetlani third. In the Under-14 boys’ category, Kailash Lodhi, Fion Sheetlani and Vyas Chandel took first place, Veer Kukreja second and Rajvansh Chauhan third. In the Under-17 boys’ category, Sarthak Soni, Faizan Ansari and Naman Sahu secured first place, Yatharth Dubey, Anurag Pathak and Abhishek Markam second place, while Mohit Lodhi, Anshu Lodhi, and Adamya Pratap Singh stood in third. In the Under-17 girls’ category, Hansika Patel, Ria Chauhan, and Harshita Thakur took first place, Ayushi Sahu, Nancy Chaudhary, and Kanishka Sahu secured second and Shanvi Rajput, Disha Lodhi, and Ria Ahirwar came third. In the Under-19 boys’ category, Ayush Lodhi and Gyan Kori secured first place, while Devansh Lodhi and Prateek Upadhyay took second place. In the Under-19 girls’ category, Princi Lodhi and Palakshi Dhoke secured first place, and Kamna Lodhi and Deepali Patel came second
Students from Narmada Gyan Mandir, St. Aloysius School, M.G.M. School, Model High School, Nachiketa School, Joy Senior Secondary School, Shri Varni Digamber Jain Gurukul School, M. D. Bengali School and Gyanodaya School performed excellently in the competition.
At the closing ceremony of the competition, Kumari Neha Singh Thakur gave the vote of thanks.
